Bell Canada established Carrier Services to meet the needs of new entrants to the Canadian telecommunications marketplace following the CRTC’s decision to open up Canada's long distance market to competition. As a standalone business unit within Bell Canada that is separated from the retail side of the business, Carrier Services provides telecommunications services to customers on an impartial, confidential basis.
As the regulatory landscape and wholesale market evolved, Carrier Services became Bell Canada's strategic business unit responsible for managing all business relationships with long distance carriers and resellers, rebillers, ISPs, sharing groups, wireless service providers, and the cable TV and paging/message exchange industries.
Today, our customer base has further grown to include US and international service providers. Our customers continue to rely on Carrier Services for unparalleled reliability and quality in traditional voice and data services, as well as turning to us for new, innovative IP-based solutions.
